2018 GMC Terrain Owners Manual – The 2018 GMC Terrain compact crossover is all new, from the downsized chassis to the all-turbo/9-velocity powertrain, to the new body that movements from macho to mundane. The Terrain is similar to the Chevy Equinox, with the same footprint, but sheet metal that’s toned into bold scoops and creases, and larger fenders.
The compact crossover is a challenging course. Terrain competes not only against its close to-dual Equinox, but also Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, Mazda CX-5, and others. Terrain’s acceleration is smart, it’s coping with noise, as well as its trip properly tuned.

2018 GMC Terrain Exterior

The big grille is possibly a fat oval with sliced corners or a big rectangle with chopped sides. It looks a lot better in black, like on the base SL than with chrome, like the Denali. In reality, it seems horrendous in the way GM does the chrome. The SL also provides flat black colored plastic-type jogging the base perimeter of the car, top and rear fascia in addition to more than the rims and under the entrance doors. It offers the Terrain some rugged objective, and appears a lot better than the Denali’s rarely-flared steel fenders, even though the Denali’s 19-in. colored alloy rims smartly fill the wheelwells. The SL is cleaner, absent the Denali’s strip of chrome cut alongside the doors as well as over the windowpane line.
2018 GMC Terrain Interior
The all-new Terrain seems to lose some ins in the wheelbase, size, and breadth, but nevertheless has about the exact same chairs place as the Ford Escape and Toyota Rav4. Base automobiles have cloth seats with handbook adjustment, although the natural leather has far more bolstering, air flow, and strength modification. They’re great for long hours in the seat, as long as you are not very large, as the driver’s seat is lacking in enough assist under the thighs and legs. The sitting situation is less than prior to, that makes the Terrain truly feel a lot less SUV-like.
The cabin is not cohesive, it seems like a few individual areas, although it comes along with leather in a warm shade, and lightweight aluminum toned. Compared to the Equinox, the components are much softer and it’s less noisy, with more audio efficiency under the flooring. But the entrance solar panels have major pieces of the same plastic-type that composes most of the switches on the musical instrument panel. This should not occur upon an SUV with this price range.
2018 GMC Terrain Driving
The base engine, a turbocharged 1.5-liter I4, believes highly processed and calm. This makes 170 hp and a solid 203 pound-toes of torque which comes at low revs, achieving its optimum at 2000 rpm. That gives it gutsy acceleration and the capacity to push the 3500-pound Terrain around with some authority. The 9-velocity intelligent assists in this obstacle, although the Equinox struggles with a 6-rate.
